Movement I of Sonata for Clarinet and Piano, by Francis Poulenc
Preliminary Audition Round
§
Those who wish to be selected for the final
round are required to make a CD recording of the full first movement of the
Poulenc Sonata (with piano accompaniment).
§
Audition Deadline: CDs must be received by May 10, 2008

Accompaniment
§
Piano accompaniment is required at all levels
of competition

The OU Clarinet Symposium will provide a
pianist to accompany the final round of competition (rehearsal time with staff
accompanist is subject to availability).
Final Round of Competition
§
Competitions finals will be held June 6, 2008,
at 12pm in Pitman Recital Hall and
are open to the public

Forté C Clarinet (retail price, over $800!). This instrument is
pitched in the key of C but plays like a smaller B-flat clarinet. Designed for professional use, grenadilla
