Each year, the University of Oklahoma Clarinet Symposium invites music retailers to display their products at our event. Our display room is one of the most important features of the Symposium for all who attend. We average 25 displays and place them in two rooms, thus affording ample space and visibility.

Norman is a city of approximately 100,000 residents, which is located roughly twenty-five miles from Oklahoma City airport. There are many reasonably priced hotels here as well as many excellent moderately priced restaurants. The Symposium provides a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and this is the reason why participants return year after year.

Dates and Location
The 2011 Symposium will take place June 16-18, 2011 in Catlett Music Center, on the University of Oklahoma campus.

Display Hours
The display rooms are open to the public on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (June 17 through June 19) from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

Fees
Display fees are as follows:

$250 (one table)
$60 (each additional table)

The display fee includes access to all Symposium events for one member of the displayer’s party.

Set up and Tear down
Display set up: Wednesday, June 16th 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Display tear down: Saturday, June 19th 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Security
The display rooms are locked before and after business hours and during the noon hour. Symposium staff members monitor the locked display rooms over the lunch break and overnight to ensure the safety of your merchandise.

Shipping
Exhibitors may wish to ship their merchandise to Norman in advance of the Symposium. The School of Music office will accept your packages and store them in a locked room until your arrival. Please arrange for return shipping with your preferred shipping company, and provide your own pre-paid return labels with your necessary account information.

Advertisement Info

This year we are continuing to sell advertisement space in our program booklet. Each participant receives a program upon registering, which contains recital programs, performer biographies, the Symposium schedule, and other Symposium-relevant information. Posting an advertisement in the program booklet is a great way to capture the interest of Symposium guests, encouraging a visit to your display table!

If your organization is not able to attend the 2011 Clarinet Symposium, please know that you still have the opportunity to purchase advertisement space so clarinetists from all over the world grow in their awareness of your company's services.

Companies must design their own advertisement for our 8.5" x 5.5" program booklet, which will be printed in black and white.
